This weekend was time to race again after few months without action.
Keeping its reputation, the weather has been once again full of surprises, with snow on Saturday as the the last Free Practices were cancelled.
In Qualifying, the N°36 Alpine Signatech prototype showed good pace, but hoped more, with the 7th time only on the sheets.
At the start the team decided not to take too much risks, standing P8 on the opening laps. Slowly the race unfolded itself and positions were gained.
After 1hour the car was P6 with Gustavo Menezes at the wheels making his way through traffic. Stephane began his stints after the mid race, continuing the good work made by his teammates. He came up to 2nd place after his double stints, in a race where tire degradation caused problems to everybody.
At the end of the race, Nicolas Lapierre fighting to keep the third place, had to go off track, being touched by a LPM1 car. As a result, a puncture led them to pit only 2 laps before the end.
At the checkered flag, a promising 4th place with high hopes left a bitter taste to everybody who thought about a podium.

The next race will be the 6hours of Spa-Francorchamps, in three weeks !
